Fishing in Los Cabos
If you are a sportfishing enthusiast, you will find some of the best fishing in the world in the Cabo San Lucas area. Fishing is good pretty much all year round, but the best months are known to be October through June. The East Cape is good for fishing during the months of March to November. For marlin fishing you can't beat September, October and November.
Fish types you are likely to catch during the summer months are wahoo, tuna, sailfish, or dorado. Striped marlin and yellowtail are around more towards winter and early spring.
We recommend the Pisces Fishing and Yacht Fleet which has been recognized by the International Billfish Foundation for releasing the most Striped Marlin and was honored by the International Game Fish Association with the 1995 Conservation Award. Their staff is dedicated to customer service and satisfaction.
All Fishing and Yacht Charters are 'All Inclusive' and include 10% IVA tax, beverages with your choice of beer, soft drinks or bottled water, box lunches, fishing licenses, dock fees, live bait and filleting of your catch.

Please Note:
You must have a fishing license to fish in Los Cabos. You can obtain a Mexican sportfishing license from the Mexican fisheries department and it will cost you $8 for a day or $25 for a month. To purchase a license before your trip, you can contact the Mexico Department of Fisheries at (619) 233-6956, or by mail at 2550 5th Avenue, Suite 101, San Diego, CA 92103.
The Mexican government does have limitations set, however, and each fisherman is allowed 10 fish per day, no more than 5 of any one species. Catch and release is greatly encouraged. However, if you do want to take you fish back home with you, California customs allows import of fish for personal consumption and you must show your legal take to customs inspectors at the border.
